Why does world-class coaching cost this much less?
Most 1:1 online running coaches in the US and UK charge between $150 and $500 per month. KenyanRunning plans start at $79/month — not because the coaching is less qualified, but because coaches are professional athletes living and training in Kenya.
Western running coaches typically charge $150–500/month. Our coaches are elite athletes who live and train in Kenya, where the cost of living allows us to offer genuinely world-class coaching at a fraction of that price — without any compromise on quality or attention. You get the same training philosophy that produces Olympic medalists. The geography just works in your favor.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does online coaching actually work?
After signing up, you complete a short intake form covering your running history, goal race, and weekly schedule. Every Monday your coach issues a new weekly training plan. At the end of the week you send back notes on how training went. Your coach reads them, adjusts, and issues the following week's plan. Foundation athletes communicate via email or WhatsApp — your choice. Performance and Elite athletes additionally have a direct WhatsApp line to their coach throughout the week, with same-day replies and mid-week check-ins.
What does an effort-based plan mean?
Kenyan training is built around perceived effort, not GPS splits. Your plan will use descriptors like Easy, Moderate, and Hard rather than target paces. This is deliberate: most runners run their easy days too fast, which is where injury and stagnation come from. Your coach will calibrate what those effort levels mean for your specific fitness over the first few weeks.
What if I need to miss a session or a whole week?
Send your coach a message and the plan gets adjusted. The training philosophy is flexible about individual weeks as long as the overall progression stays on track. You can also pause your subscription for up to four weeks per year.
How quickly will I see results?
Most runners notice the difference within the first few weeks as the effort-based approach changes how they train day to day. Measurable race improvements typically come after 8 to 12 weeks of consistent work.
Can I change coaches?
Yes. If your coach and your goals are not the right fit, contact us and we will match you with someone else at no extra cost.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days, contact us for a full refund, no questions asked.
